(James) A quick record shot of the female Ring-necked Duck on the river bordering Port Meadow. A presumed escape, but still a nice bird, and I hope to obtain a better photo soon. However, I wondered whether the dirty appearance and distinct lack of white spur pointed to a bit of distant Tufted Duck ancestry...?
